Mary Oshima’s Transformation Tuesday Story

Mary Oshima is an endomorph and has worked out at OC Fitness Mama for almost two and a half years. Altogether, she lost 4 inches in her hips and dropped 7 pounds. She dropped a dress size and also her body fat decreased 1.4 percent. Here is her inspirational story along with before and after photo collage:

My journey with OC Fitness Mama began as a thoughtful birthday gift from my sister, Katherine Gough, in October 2012.? She knew that I had been having trouble sleeping and lacked energy and felt a gift certificate for two training sessions would help move me into a healthier and happier life.

My sister and sister-in-law had been enjoying the benefits of Stacy Rae for over a year and constantly raved about the personal attention they received, the camaraderie they had with the other patrons and the results they were both attaining by attending the small group sessions.

On October 15, 2012, I began my journey with Stay Rae.? I recall my goal was to lose weight and tone my arms and legs for a trip to Hawaii in December.? Well, after my first workout session with Stacy Rae, I actually slept better. My family noticed I was in a better mood and had so much more energy I decided to sign up for the small group sessions and have been attending them ever since.

To jump start my fitness goals, I was going to celebrate a milestone birthday and decided to meet my new goal of attaining my driver?s license weight from 29 years ago.? Although the amount of pounds I needed to lose was minimal, it was extremely difficult.? The pounds don?t just drop like they did when I was younger. I did numbers of things to achieve my goals.? I stayed after class to do some extra push/pull cardio, walked on my lunch hour every day, ate smaller portions and stayed away from sugar and carbs.? Now that I have met my goal, I am in maintenance mode and have finally realized that I can have a cheat day with a small ice cream (my favorite food).? The key is to keep the extra calories in check or all of my hard work would be for nothing.? It?s all about the math ? calories in and calories expended.

I am constantly challenged by my workouts and am never bored.? Working with Stacy Rae and Stacy Dee over the last two years has been life changing for me.? Their extensive knowledge and guidance have helped me in my journey to achieve my fitness goals. -Mary Oshima
